  • K-2 Choir

At OBPS students in Year 2 have the opportunity at the beginning of each year to join the Infants Choir. About 30 students are selected and take part in many memorable performances throughout the year. The Choirs main performance is the participation in the Sutherland Shire Music Festival. This festival involves schools in the Sutherland Shire and after several practices together they perform as a combined choir around August each year. Lighting, special effects, masks and props add to the magic of this evening. Each year the children look forward to this concert and it raises money for Stewart House.

    • The Choir also performs at the OBPS Art and Craft Festival in May, at Friday school assemblies and other special school functions.

The focus of the choir is on fun through music. The children develop excellent singing skills while also adding movement, drama and sometimes even dance steps to make their time in the choir even more enjoyable.

In 2003 the Choir participated in several fundraising activities. This raised money for the school to purchase a choir uniform. The 2003 choir designed a t-shirt which is worn by the choir at the special performances.
