    • Oyster Bay PS has a proud sporting history and participates in numerous PSSA Sports, available during both the Summer and Winter competitions. PSSA stands for Primary Schools Sports Association and refers to the inter-school competition in many sports.

In Summer, the students participate in T-Ball, Softball and Cricket in the Sutherland Zone PSSA Competition. In Winter, the students participate in Netball and Soccer in the combined Sutherland and Cronulla Zone PSSA Competition.

The students trial for selection in these teams and are chosen not only for their ability on the sporting field but also their ability to display positive sportsmanship and a committed attitude. The students train with the teachers who coordinate these teams and are also often assisted by community members.

    • Apart from representing the school in the Sutherland and Cronulla Zone competitions, students from Oyster Bay PS regularly achieve selection in the Sutherland Zone teams, Sydney East Area teams and we have also had students selected in NSW teams to compete at National Carnivals. Sports that students have been successful in representing us at include Soccer (Boys and Girls), Basketball, Touch Football (Girls and Boys), Rugby League, Rugby Union, Aussie Rules, Netball, Softball and Cricket.
  • Oyster Bay PS is also represented at the Sutherland Zone PSSA Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country Carnivals by students who have gained selection through participation at our School Sports Carnivals
