Home / 3-6 Playground
  • The playground on the 3-6 site consists of a vast open area which offers plenty of opportunity for participating in active games, handball, or quiet activities under one of the two shaded areas.

    • During Winter, the students make full use of the portable soccer posts to play ‘playground soccer’. Although it may not be as competitive as the English Premier League, the students thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to run off some of their energy. Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6 alternate the use of the playground for this activity.
  • During Summer, the students enjoy the opportunity to use the space of the playground by playing cricket. The Year 3 and 4 students play cricket twice a week, while the Year 5 and 6 students also play twice a week on alternate days.

Attached to the new school hall is a covered outdoor area and the playground also has a shade cloth. The students use these areas to participate in less active activities than take place in the main playground.

The numerous handball courts painted around the playground are also very popular with all students from Years 3 to 6.

    • The 3-6 playground also has a basketball and netball court which cater for students training for school teams, after school use by some groups or just for some friendly competition at recess and lunch time by the students.
