• Students at Oyster Bay PS participate in a variety of extra curricular activities to ensure that they receive a well-rounded education that caters for all their needs and allows them to excel in a variety of areas.

       

      At Oyster Bay Public School we value and promote academic, cultural, sporting and other activities. Students of all ages are presented with opportunities to participate in specialist programs to cater for their talents and/ or interests. Some of these programs include;
    • dance groups;
    • K-2 and 3-6 choirs;
    • concert bands that perform at Band Festivals and a variety of venues;
    • environmental programs;
    • a Public Speaking Program involving students at school and zone level;
    • a Student Representative Council;
    • technology programs;
    • fitness programs;
    • in-school recreational sports - swimming scheme,  gymnastics, Sports Options;
    • inter-school sports (PSSA);
    • sports representation at District/Zone Regional and State levels;
    • chess club; Interschool Debating
    • gifted and talented and enrichment programs;
    • Australasian Schools’ Competitions and a wide variety of other competitions;
    • a K-6 Buddy program.
